The basics

What is My FPL Mini-League?

A tool for running a Fantasy Premier League mini-league properly. You paste your league ID, design the prizes you want to run, and get a public league page plus a recap card every gameweek that you can share with your league.

It is for the person who organises the league (the host) and for the people in it.

Who is it for?

Anyone running a mini-league: a work league, a group of mates, or a creator running a league for their audience. The tools are the same; the bigger plans just add branding, member messaging and higher member limits.

Is it affiliated with Fantasy Premier League?

No. My FPL Mini-League is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Premier League, Fantasy Premier League, or any football club. We read publicly available data from the official FPL API. That is the extent of the relationship.

Who operates it?

Common Room Ventures Private Limited, a company registered in India (CIN U32409KA2026PTC222161), based in Bengaluru. My FPL Mini-League is the product; Common Room Ventures is the company behind it. If you pay us, that is the name that will appear on your statement.

Is there an age limit?

Accounts are for 18 and over. That is stricter than Fantasy Premier League itself, which allows accounts from 13. The reason is Indian data protection law, which treats anyone under 18 as a child and requires verifiable parental consent before their data can be processed. We would rather not run a parental consent process than run one badly.

An under-18 can still be in your league. Standings come from Fantasy Premier League's public data, so their team appears on the page and their prizes calculate exactly as everyone else's. What they cannot do is create an account, claim their row, or get WhatsApp reminders.

If you are a parent and your child's team is on a league page, email [email protected] and we will anonymise it, so nothing on the page identifies them.

Do I need my FPL password?

No, and never give it to us or anyone else. We only read data that Fantasy Premier League already publishes. We cannot see your password, make transfers, or change anything in your FPL account.

Keeping a league alive

What actually stops people dropping off after Christmas?

Running more than one race at once.

Most mini-leagues have a single prize for whoever finishes top. By November the title is usually settled, and everyone who cannot win it has nothing left to play for. The group chat goes quiet, and it does not come back.

So instead of one league with one winner, you run several races side by side over the same standings: the season, each month, each gameweek, the second half of the season on its own. Someone sitting eighth overall can still be leading the month, and someone having a terrible season can still win a single gameweek. There is nearly always something in reach.

You choose which races to run when you set the league up. You do not have to score any of them yourself.

What if I want the bottom of the table to matter too?

Run a prize that rewards being bad at it.

A wooden spoon for whoever finishes last, or a bench king for whoever leaves the most points on their bench, turns the bottom of the table into its own contest. Leagues that do this often report the relegation scrap being followed more closely than the title.

Plenty of leagues attach a forfeit rather than money: last place buys dinner, or does something daft. That is entirely between you and your league. We work out who came last; what happens next is your business.

What do I actually have to do each week?

Nothing, once it is set up.

Plenty of hosts run a manual update every Monday: work out who won, who flopped, update a spreadsheet, post it in the chat. It works, and it is the reason a lot of leagues quietly stop after a few months, because it is a real chore and one person is carrying it.

Every gameweek we work out each race, and produce a recap card with the standings and the story of the week. On the free plan you download it and post it yourself. On the paid plans it is delivered over WhatsApp. Either way nobody is maintaining a spreadsheet.

What is the recap card for?

Ammunition, mostly.

A league stays alive on banter, and banter needs something to react to. The card names the gameweek winner, who is climbing, who left a pile of points on their bench, and where each race now stands. That is the thing people quote at each other.

It matters more in a big league than a small one. When everyone knows everyone, the ribbing takes care of itself. When it is mates of mates of mates, most people do not know each other well enough to start, and a card that says who had the worst week gives them something to start with.

Prizes and money

Do you hold our prize money?

No. Never, at any point, in any amount.

We are not a payment processor or an escrow service. Entry fees and prizes are collected and paid out entirely between the host and the members, away from the Platform. The ledger in the app is a record of who owes what. It is a notepad, not a bank account. Marking something settled does not move money.

Then what am I paying for?

Access to the software, if you are on a paid plan. That is a separate transaction between you and us, and it never touches your league's prize pool.

Can we run a league without real money?

Yes, and plenty do. Prizes can be coins (an in-product score with no cash value) or badges, which are recognition only. Neither can be exchanged for anything. You pick the mode when you create your first prize.

Nothing else changes. Every race is scored the same way and the standings look the same; the only difference is what sits at the end of it. This is the answer if money would sour it for your group, as well as if you are somewhere that restricts money competitions.

Is running a money league legal where I am?

That depends on where you and your members are, and we cannot advise on it. Rules about entry fees and money prizes vary by country and, in India, by state. Some restrict or prohibit these competitions.

It is the host's responsibility to know the position and not to run something unlawful. The coins and badges modes exist so a league can run without a money pool at all.

Who decides the prizes?

The host. We calculate outcomes from FPL data against the structure they set up, but they choose what runs and what it is worth.

What if a race is scored wrongly?

Tell us and we will look at it. Scores come from the official FPL API, and if that data was wrong or late, the calculation inherits the problem. We will fix the calculation where we can, but we cannot undo a payment you have already made, so check outcomes before you settle up.

The public league page

Is my league page public?

Yes, once you publish it. Anyone with the link can see it without signing in, and it can be shared, screenshotted, indexed by search engines, and unfurled into a preview on WhatsApp or Discord.

It is not public before you publish. Publishing is a deliberate step.

What is on it?

Your league's branding, the standings, the races you are running, the prize board, and the latest recap. Standings show each entry's display name, team name, rank and points.

My name is on a league page and I never signed up. Why?

When a host adds a league, we pull the full roster from Fantasy Premier League's public API, which includes everyone in that league, whether or not they have ever used our Platform.

If you would rather not be there, you can have your row anonymised — your display name and team name are replaced with a neutral label, so the standings stay correct but nothing on the page identifies you. You do not need an account and you do not need to go through the host. See Public League Pages and Your Data, or email [email protected].

Can I take my league page down?

Yes, at any time, from your Manage settings. That stops public access going forward. It cannot retrieve copies people have already shared or screenshots they have taken.

Joining a league

How do I join?

Open your league's page, find your team in the standings, and tap your row. It asks whether that entry is you, you sign in, and the row becomes yours. There is no code to enter and nothing to type in: you are already in the standings because you are already in the FPL league.

What if someone claims my team?

Claiming a row that is already claimed is blocked, and there is a "not you?" route on the page that raises it with us. We resolve these manually. Email [email protected] if you are stuck.

Do I have to join?

No. The league runs whether or not you claim your row. Claiming gets you your own view, your prize position and the option of messages.

Messages

What will you send me?

If you give My FPL Mini-League product-level WhatsApp consent, we may send the message types allowed by your current league and message-type delivery preferences. These include deadline reminders, gameweek recaps and Creator Plus Broadcasts. Availability depends on the league host's plan; the pricing page sets out which plan does what.

Every plan produces a recap card each gameweek. On the free plan the host downloads it. On the paid plans it is delivered over WhatsApp.

Creator Plus Broadcasts are marketing messages and may contain creator-written free text and artwork, such as a live-stream announcement. We send them only where your current preferences allow them. We never sell your number or add you to a group chat.

How do I stop them?

Turn WhatsApp off in your settings or reply STOP to any message to stop everything immediately. You can also email [email protected], and we will action your request and confirm it. Global OFF and STOP override every league and message-type preference. You can also keep WhatsApp on while disabling delivery for a particular league. Full detail in Messaging Consent.

Does my host see my phone number?

No. Messages are sent by us on their behalf. They see how many people have opted in, not who or on what number.

Privacy

What do you collect?

Your account details, the FPL data for leagues you are in, your messaging preferences if you set any, and (with your consent) analytics about how you use the Platform. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.

Do you use cookies?

Essential ones to keep you signed in, and analytics ones only if you agree. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, nothing sold to anyone. See the Cookie Policy.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Ask at [email protected] and we will action it. Note that a league page may still show your FPL entry, because that comes from Fantasy Premier League's public data rather than from your account. Ask us and we will anonymise that too.

Paying

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The entry plan is genuinely free for smaller leagues, with no card needed. Free leagues never pay at all.

What do the paid plans add?

Broadly: higher member limits, insight cards each gameweek, messaging to your members rather than just to you, custom branding, and your own league URL.

How am I charged?

Per season, not monthly. You buy access for the season rather than signing up to a rolling subscription.

Do I have to pay before I can try it?

No. You can build your whole league, set the prizes up and see how it looks before paying anything. A small league can publish and run a full season on the free plan without ever paying. You pay when your league outgrows what the free plan covers, or when you want what the paid plans add.

Does it renew?

No. You buy a season, once, and that is the end of it. Nothing is charged to you automatically and there is no subscription sitting there to cancel. If you want to run your league again next season, you buy it again.

What if I change my mind?

There is nothing to cancel, because nothing renews. If you want your money back, that is a refund question and the answer is below.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, in full, for any reason, within 14 days of paying. Ask at [email protected].

After that we do not usually refund part of a season, but we will where something went wrong at our end. Full detail in the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

To be clear, that covers what you pay us. Entry fees and prizes inside your league are between you and your league host, because we never hold that money.

Getting help

We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
