Public League Pages and Your Data

If you have found your name or your team on one of our league pages and you have never signed up to anything, this page is for you. It explains what happened and how to have it taken down.

The short version: someone who runs your Fantasy Premier League mini-league set it up on our platform. We pulled the league's roster from Fantasy Premier League's public data, which includes you. You can have your name taken off the page by emailing [email protected]. You do not need an account, you do not need to go through whoever runs your league, and you do not need to give a reason.

1. Why you are on here

My FPL Mini-League is a tool for running Fantasy Premier League mini-leagues. Someone in your league, usually the person who set it up and runs it, entered your league's ID into our platform.

When that happens, we read the league's roster from the official Fantasy Premier League API. That is the same public data anyone can already look up for any FPL mini-league. It includes every member of the league, not only the person who set it up, and not only people who use our platform.

We did not get your details from you, and we did not buy them from anyone. They came from Fantasy Premier League.

If the host then publishes the league page, it becomes visible to anyone with the link.

2. What we hold about you

For every member of an ingested league:

• Your Fantasy Premier League entry ID

• Your team name and the display name shown on your FPL entry

• Your gameweek and overall points, rank, and rank movement

• Bench points, captain points, transfers made and points hits

• Squad composition and chips played

If your league's host has set up prizes, we also calculate and hold what you have won or are owed under their prize structure. Those are figures the host has entered. We do not collect or hold any actual money. See §5.

We do not hold your email address, your phone number, your password, or anything from your FPL account beyond what the public API returns. We cannot log in as you, see your private details, or change anything in your FPL team.

3. What is visible publicly

If the league page has been published, the following is visible to anyone with the link, without signing in:

• The league name and branding

• The full standings, including your display name, team name, rank and points

• The prize board, including amounts won and outstanding

• The latest gameweek recap

The page can be shared, screenshotted, found by search engines, and turned into a link preview on WhatsApp or Discord. The standings are searchable inside the page, which means someone viewing it can retrieve the whole roster.

Treat a published league page as fully public, because it is.

A league page is not public until the host publishes it. Publishing is a deliberate action they take.

4. Why we are allowed to do this

Under the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation we rely on legitimate interests. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we rely on the equivalent permitted use.

In plain terms, our reasoning is:

• The league is one you are already a member of. We are not introducing you to strangers; we are showing a competition you joined its own standings.

• The underlying information is already published by Fantasy Premier League and can be looked up by anyone without us.

• Running the league is not possible without the roster. A standings table with people missing is not a standings table.

• The information is limited to team names, display names and game performance. We do not add contact details, location, or anything you have not already put into a public fantasy football game.

We have weighed that against your rights, and we accept that it does not override them. That is why §6 exists and why we act on objections without asking why.

If you object, we do not require you to justify it. We take your name off the page.

5. Money and prizes

Some leagues run prizes with real money. We never hold, collect, transfer or touch any of it.

The Platform works like a shared ledger. The host enters a total pot figure, and we calculate what each prize is worth from it. Collecting entry fees and paying out prizes happens entirely between the host and the members, away from our platform, on whatever method they already use.

We have no visibility of what has actually been collected or paid. The figures shown are what the host has entered and what our calculation produces from them, not a record of money we hold or can see.

If you are owed money by your league, or think you are, that is a matter between you and your host. We cannot pay you, cannot compel anyone to pay you, and cannot arbitrate it.

6. How to get your name off a league page

Email [email protected].

Tell us either:

• the link to the league page, and your team name as shown on it, or

• your FPL team name or entry ID

You do not need an account. You do not need to contact the host. You do not need to give a reason.

We will confirm receipt and action it. If we need anything else to be sure we have the right person, we will ask for the minimum necessary and nothing more.

You can also ask us to do this across all leagues, present and future, rather than just one. Tell us and we will do that.

6.1 What we actually do

We anonymise your row. Your display name and team name are replaced with a neutral label, so nothing on the page identifies you.

The row itself stays, and this is deliberate. A league's standings and each of its prize races are worked out across the full roster. Deleting a row would move everyone else up a place and change who wins what. Anonymising takes your name off the board without rewriting the competition for the people still playing in it.

We would rather explain that than quietly do something different from what "remove me" sounds like. If anonymising is not enough for you, say so and we will talk about it.

It applies to every version published from then on, automatically. It is also not undone when we next refresh the league's data from Fantasy Premier League, which is a thing that would otherwise quietly bring your name back.

6.2 What it does not do

We want to be straightforward about the limits rather than promise more than we can deliver.

It does not undo what has already been shared. Specifically:

• Previously published versions of the page remain retrievable by anyone who already has their direct address. Our pages are published in versions, and older versions stay available rather than being deleted when a new one replaces them. In practice this means someone with a saved link to an older version may still be able to reach it. All versions are deleted at the end of the season following the one they were published in, so nothing persists indefinitely.

• We cannot retrieve copies other people already have. Screenshots, forwarded images, pages saved by someone else, or previews cached by a messaging platform are outside our control.

• We cannot remove you from Fantasy Premier League. Your entry and your league membership live there, and that is where the information originally comes from. If you want it gone at source, that is a matter for Fantasy Premier League and for leaving the league itself.

If you need an older version taken down urgently, tell us and we will do what we can, but we would rather tell you the limits up front than discover them together later.

6.3 If you are a parent or guardian

If your child's team appears on a league page, you can have it anonymised on the same terms, so nothing on the page identifies them. Email [email protected] with the page link or the team name. No account, no reason needed, and you do not have to go through whoever runs the league.

We should be straightforward about why this can happen. Fantasy Premier League allows accounts from 13, and younger with a parent's permission, and its data does not tell us anyone's age. So when we read a league roster we have no way of knowing whether someone in it is a child.

What we can tell you is what we do not do. Accounts on our platform are 18 and over only. That means we never message a child, never build a profile of one, and hold nothing about them beyond the team name and match performance that Fantasy Premier League already publishes. We treat a removal request about a child as a priority.

7. Your other rights

Getting your name off the page is usually what people want, but you have more than that. You can ask us to:

Ask at [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. If something is genuinely complex we will tell you before that deadline passes, and why. There is no charge.

8. If you are unhappy with how we handled it

9. A note to league hosts

If you run a league, you are responsible for telling your members that the page exists, that it is public, and where to find it. That obligation is in the Host Terms §3.

If a member asks you to take them off, do it, or send them here. Do not ignore it.
